Hi! Glad you’re here!

My name is Natalie Pearl Evans. I grew up in New York on a small island between Manhattan and Queens called Roosevelt Island where I lived my mom, dad, younger sister, and two cats. I have been grooving, moving, and making noise since I can remember walking. With endless energy putting me in tap class was one of the best choices my mom ever made, which then progressed into me starting voice lessons and participating in shows. I absolutely fell in love with theater not only as an expression of joy but also as a thought-provoking form of storytelling. I now hope to create stories that would have absolutely thrilled my younger self.

Performing as a dancer, actor, and musical theater artist has given me a multifaceted perspective of how we create art and how different narrative forms can move people. I was able to explore my artistry in full force at Northwestern University. There, I fostered an expansive collegiate artistic experience including various new work processes, TYA productions, and thought-provoking reimaginings of fully staged works. Favorite projects of mine include a reimagining of Antigone, a new work project centered on the end of Georgia O’Keeffe’s life, and the first production in the US of a new musical adaptation of The Little Prince (out of the UK).

Outside of performing, I have been fortunate to fall in love with and work in Arts Education. This passion for working with young people developed in high school but flourished in college with the support of the Theater for Young Audiences department at Northwestern University. Professors Rives Collins, Ellie Levine, and Betsy Quinn were massive in my journey of pursuing arts education outside of the classroom, helping me obtain positions such as my Education Apprenticeship last summer at Portland Stage. I continue to teach theater and dance to kids ages 4-15 with Skyline Children’s Theater, Devonshire Dance Center, and Highland Parks Dance Department. I am deeply passionate about the growth of young people through the arts and how it can change their lives, as it has changed mine.

Following graduation, I have been lucky enough to work with some incredible artists and directors completing two musical productions, one new play production, one TYA production, along with countless other little gigs, readings, and classes. Through these projects I have been able to continue to develop my artistry and purpose within this industry. I hope to continue work on stage as well as expand into the commercial and TV industry. I am constantly looking for new ways to improve whether it be getting on set as an extra or work with other artists to improve my material, growth is the name of the game for me in this stage of life.

Outside of my artistic pursuits, I love being outside in nature as much as possible. I volunteer with the Chicago Canine Rescue work with rescue dogs (always have and always will be an animal girl). At home, I love to cook and try out new recipes. While not always successful, I get a lot of joy through food and experiencing food with others. My goals for the next few months are to host more dinner parties with my roommates and friends, go see one new movie every two weeks, and spend more time with my family.
